About Us

Streator and Associates opened their business in January 2008, conveniently located at Northdale Executive Suites3903 Northdale Blvd. Suite 100-E in Tampa, Florida. The office is easily accessible from the area surrounding Hillsborough County and Sandra Streator can travel to you if requested for a small additional fee. The major function of this business is conducting Polygraph Examinations of all kinds.

Sandra Streator graduated from the International School Polygraph Science in 2000 as a polygraph examiner.

She has been a member of the American Polygraph Association and the Florida Polygraph Association since 2001. She currently conducts pre-employment polygraph testing, criminal testing for attorneys, specific issue testing and reviews charts from other examiners.

In 2004, she was certified in Post Conviction Sexual Offender Testing. She has continued her training in the Polygraph Examination field every year since 2000.

In 2007, she retired from law enforcement after 32 years having been with the Frostproof Police Department and the Hillsborough  County Sheriff’s Office.

She spent the last 7 years of her law enforcement career with Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office as a polygraph examiner, conducting pre-employment and criminal testing. 

She also conducted criminal testing for the following agencies:

Tampa Airport Police Department, Temple Terrace

Police Department, Pant City Police Department,

University of South Florida Police Department and the

Fire Marshall’s Office with Hillsborough County as well as other agencies outside the State of Florida, assisting them with their investigations. She has also testified in local, state and federal courts for both criminal and civil cases.

Consulting with Streator & Associates is William “Bill” Streator

William “Bill” Streator is a retired detective from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Tampa, Florida. Bill was with the Sheriff’s Office from December 1981 until his retirement in January 2007. Bill was a law enforcement officer for 31 ½ years.

Bill was also one of the co-founders of the National Association of Property Recovery Investigators, a non profit organization that provides training to law enforcement officers through out the country.

Bill is past State Treasurer for the Florida Law Enforcement Property Recovery Unit (FLEPRU), a State of Florida non profit organization that teaches property crime investigation techniques to Florida law enforcement officers. Bill is FLEPRU’s past Legislative Chairperson and has authored several property crime bills that were enrolled and signed into Florida Law. Bill authored the “Petition for Return of Stolen Property Pursuant to the Florida Pawnbroking Act” which was approved by the Florida Supreme Court at the request of the Florida Bar Association. The petition allows a victim of a property crime to file claims for the return of their stolen property being held by pawnbrokers.

Bill represented the Florida Sheriff’s Association for the Florida Sheriffs’ FLASH, a statewide pawnbroker data base project. He was also the Florida Sheriff’s Association representative for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Stolen Property Automated Recovery System (SPARS), a statewide pawnbroker data base project. Bill was the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office representative and one of the founders of the Florida Law Enforcement Data Sharing Consortium and assisted in the creation of the Florida Integrated Network of Data Exchange and Retrieval (FINDER).

Bill is a graduate of the St. Clair County Community College, Port Huron, Mi (1972) and the University of South Florida, Tampa (1975).
